*The Behind The Scenes of Making our Sailing Dream Come True*
Read MorePROUD of my Husband. Captain Jonathan made sure we will be alright! He did everything to fix our S/V Empress since we bought her in May 2017 and after surviving the Hurricane! Finally, the last 24 hours we proved that all the hard work was worth it, Empress looked after us as we sailed her for the first time with just the two of us (and our cat) as the crew!

Read MoreWe finally arrived in The EXUMAS of The Bahamas which is our targeted destination to island hop but glad that our journey from Florida Keys brought us to Bimini by crossing the Gulf Stream to Nassau via the Great Bahama Bank and to the South east of New Providence Island to wait for the better weather, the unexpected stop became one of the coolest days we’ve ever had! ☀️
Read MoreThere was no more drama after that and we made our way into a slip at Bimini Bluewater Marina, which at only $1 a foot was the perfect place for us to put the boat back together, put ourselves back together and learn from the mistakes we’d made in our first substantial sea trial since buying Empress over 8 months earlier - riding and crossing the Gulf Stream. It might not have been particularly graceful, but we had made it!
