Sailing Life Day 20: Second Night of Anchoring in Compass Cay, Exuma, The Bahamas!
After the move from Shroud Cay, we finally had a calmer weather and water so I was able to clean and organize everything back on the boat! Looks like a floating Miami Beach house again! Haha ⛵️ I’m back to practicing yoga & meditation on a daily basis again since we left Florida Keys and feeling sooooo much better everyday! 🙏
By lunch time, boat maintenance was finished and Jonathan was teaching me how I can lift our anchor manually and persuading me that it’s good for my back.. Hahaha! Oh my, Captain! During afternoon when it’s Captain Ahab’s kitty nap time, we sneaked out and left S/V Empress to go to land.. Jonathan set up our little dinghy so we drove out for a little adventure!
There’s a sandbar and also a beach landing where it’s just the two of us! We were looking for conch shells to keep but failed yesterday so we were just chilling out!
We’re leaving again today to head South to Big Major Cay which is also known as the Pig Island! Let’s see how it goes.. hoping to catch fish for dinner today! ⛵️👫🐈
P.S. We tried to check out the nursing sharks at the marina but the owner wasn’t keen for us to swim and film them. Maybe next time!
