Sailing Life Day 16: Extended Days in Palm Cay Marina because of the Weather
We’re still here in Palm Cay marina in the SouthEast of New Providence Island but Jonathan already checked the weather and we will be crossing our island hopping on Thursday morning because the waves will still be rough tomorrow afternoon.. we can handle it but we also have to conside our Captain Ahab!❤️
I’m really enjoying our stop here.. sleeping more than 8 hours per day, doing my yoga in the morning while the kitty cat is jumping all over my face! Haha 🤣 I told Jonathan we don’t need to buy more grocery because we have enough but since we have nothing else to do yesterday, we went to buy more cat food and bacon for us! We walked to the supermarket which is only 3 miles away and ended up hitchhiking on the way back.. the taxi here costs $30 per ride! Gosh!
I think our boat has enough food that will last for the next 6 months (if we will not buy any fresh veggies). I also cooked tinola the other day.. had a lot of leftovers because I still cook for the “whole barangay”. Haha! 🤪
So here are some photos of our daily life as liveaboards.. just doing the same things as you but we’re trying to be really self-sufficient now that we depend on our solar panels for electricity! We have watermaker to convert salt water to drinkable water and hopefully Jonathan will catch us fish so we don’t need to buy seafood! Hehe! One step at a time! ❤️
