Documents Required For Tourism

1. Schengen Visa Application Form - filled out and signed by the applicant

2. One Passport-sized photo this must be colored with white background and recently taken

3. Original Passport, Photocopy of the Bio-page, and Old Visa – valid for at least 6 months from date of return and with blank pages

4. Detailed Itinerary  on stay in the Schengen Area – for entire stay with days and dates in each country

5. Travel Insurance – this should be valid in all Schengen areas covering the entire period of stay. The coverage should be at least EUR 30,000. I highly recommend AXA Schengen for this!

6. Proof of Transportation – according to your itineraries like train, bus, car, or plane tickets or reservations in case you are traveling to other countries

7.  Proof of Accommodation – Hotel or Airbnb Bookings or reservations

8. Flight Reservation – only a reserved round-trip ticket is needed and not a paid one. You can rent a flight with us for an affordable price. Here’s the link.

9. Proof of Financial means

  • Original Bank Certificate

For employed:

  • Certificate of Employment – must be original, with position, salary, and length of service

Step-By-Step Guide On How Filipinos Can Apply For Hungary Schengen Visa

STEP 1: Gather all the documents required for your application.

STEP 2: If you are ready, schedule an appointment with VFS Global.

Register as a “New User.” Once you are done, you can click “Schedule Appointment.” Enter your details and select the schedule you want. Print the appointment letter.

STEP 3: Go to the VFS Application Center at least 15 minutes before your appointment. Please bring all the requirements and cash. The VFS Application center is located at:

STEP 4: Pay the Visa Fees. Submit your documents. Have your biometrics taken.

STEP 5: Wait for the decision of your visa application. It would usually take 15 days. You can track your application here.

STEP 6: Once you have a message that your passport is ready, you can claim in the VFS Application Center from 2 – 4 PM. Please bring a copy of your passport’s bio-page and the receipt. You can also opt to have it delivered by a carrier for an additional cost.

FAQs On How Filipinos Can Apply For Hungary Schengen Visa

1. How much is the Short Term Visa Fee?

  • 0-5 y/o – Free

  • 6-12 y/o- € 40 (About Php 2,254)

  • 12 y/o and above- € 80 (about Php 4,507)

2. How much is the Visa Processing Fee?

It’s PHP 890.00 per application, and this is paid on top of the Visa Fee.

3. How long can I travel with my Short Stay Visa?

You can stay for a maximum of 90 days in a 180 day period.

4. How long does a visa application normally take?

A visa application usually takes up to 15 days. However, in some cases, the Embassy may take 45 days processing time and ask for additional documentation and further verifications.

5. When should I apply for a visa?

You can apply as early as 6 months before your travel date. However, if you are confident, then 2 – 3 months will be enough.

6. Is there an interview?

Not necessarily, but you may be called for an interview at the Embassy if they see something wrong with your documents or want some clarification with the purpose of your stay.

7. Is a cover letter necessary?

Though it’s not a requirement, a cover letter can help you explain more about your circumstances and intention for travel. We recommend you have one. You can also hire us for this. 

8. Do I need a Paid Flight Booking?

No. The Embassy does not require you to pay for your flights when you don’t have a visa. They only require a reserved booking. Our Rent-A-Flight Service is the best for this. It’s legitimate and confirmable.

10. My visa is rejected! What remedy do I have?
