If you are a Philippines Passport Holders, you need to have a Schengen Visa to enter Switzerland. There is an Embassy of Switzerland in Manila but you need to pass your visa application at the Switzerland Visa Application Center.  You can book your appointments online through VFS.

Documents Required for Switzerland Schengen Visa

1. Schengen Visa Application Form - must be duly completed with blue or black ink and signed by the applicant.

2. Two Passport-sized photos – it must be recent (not less than 6 months), identical, colored with white background. Don’t staple this on the form.

3. Valid Passport – must be valid at least 3 months from the end of your stay, it must have at least 2 blank pages

4. Photocopy of valid passport – a copy of bio page and the back page with applicant’s signature of your current and/or old passports and copies of all valid and expired visas

5. Proof of Occupation

  • For those employed - Certificate of Employment with position, salary, hiring date,  return to work date

  • For self-employed - DTI or SEC Certificate of Registration, Income Tax Return, Financial Statement

  • For student - Proof of enrollment, Leave of Absence from school if traveling on a school year

6.  Proof of financial resources - Bank Books, Original Bank statements or credit card statement for the last 6 months, Income Tax Return

7.  Travel Reservation – Printout of round ticket reservation with applicant’s name and reservation number. It is not required to pay or buy the ticket until the visa is granted.

8.  Detailed itinerary – a day to day itinerary of planned trip and schedule of activities

9.  Proof of Accommodation – Hotel booking or reservation with complete name and contact of the hotel

10. International Travel Insurance  - It should be applicable for all Schengen States and cover the entire stay or transit period of the person. The minimum is EUR 30,000 /PHP 2,5 million / USD 50,000. I highly recommend AXA Schengen for this!

11. Visa Fee

Visa fee is Php 4,600, for children 6-12 Php 2,300 and below 6 years old is free. This is exclusive of the VFS service Fee of Php 1,150.

STEP 1: Gather all the documents stated above.

3. Add the applicants.

4. Select the preferred schedule and book your appointment.

5. Print the appointment letter and bring it to your appointment.

STEP 3: Submit your visa application with required and supporting documents at the Netherlands Visa Application Centre on the day you set an appointment.

STEP 4: Pay VFS visa fee and service fees.

STEP 5: Have your biometric data were taken (photograph and fingerprints).
