Botswana Tourist Visa Requirements

1. Passport with copy – passport must be valid for at least 6 months. Copy of the first two pages is required.

2. Completed Application Form - duly accomplished, scanned with the picture

3. Passport Sized-Photo - 3x4 cm, colored, attach this to the application form

4. Travel Itinerary

5. Hotel Booking or Letter from Host in Botswana

6. Application Letter - this must explain your trip details; what you will do in the country, and your intention to depart from Botswana after your travel there, etc. You can hire us to make this for you!

7. Previous Visa - if you have applied before for a Botswana Visa; attach a copy and the decision

8. Visa Fee Payment - Payment is JPY 5,000. Use your full name as a reference for payment. Scan the bank receipt.

Step By Step Guide In Getting A Botswana Tourist Visa

STEP 1: Prepare all your documents for a Botswana Tourist Visa. Scan them ahead.

STEP 2: Go to a bank and pay the visa fee. You must be shouldering all other expenses. It will be made to:

STEP 4: You will be given a notification letter through e-mail once your visa is approved. You may be required to send your passport to the embassy.

STEP 5: Send your passport to the Embassy of Botswana in Japan. The address is above. Please also arrange a pre-paid envelope, so once the passport with visa sticker is ready, they can easily send it back to you.

The visa fee is JPY 5,000 (about PHP 2,500).

2. Is the visa fee refundable?

No, once you have paid for it, it is non-refundable.

Processing time may take 7 to 14  days, however, as the Embassy is in Japan, you might receive your passport longer.

4. How many days before my schedule should I process my application?

As it may need to be sent to Japan, allocate another 4 or 5 weeks before your scheduled departure.

It is not required. But the Embassy may request your presence or additional documents from you.

6. Is travel insurance required?
