Overview of Mongolia
Capital: Ulaanbaatar
Language: Mongolian
Currency: Tögrög (1 USD = 2,750 MNT)
Mongolia is a landlocked country sandwiched by big guys like China and Russia. It’s the 18th biggest country and since there aren’t many people, it’s the least dense nation. Mongolia has everything (dessert, snow, forests) but the sea. They are also very historically interesting as they have the Khans (Kings in Mongolia) that united Nomadic people towards the same goal. It’s much like Khal Drogo and Khals from Game of Thrones.
This country has also been a part of China during the Qing dynasty but had independence in the 1900s. It has also been under the control of the Soviet Union. But as of 1992, it became a Democratic State and has been towards progress.
Going to Mongolia
There is an international airport in Ulaanbaatar, the Chinggis Khaan International Airport. They have flights from Russia, South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Germany, Japan, Kazakhstan, and Turkey.
