Overview of Ecuador

Capital: Quito
Language: Spanish
Currency: United States Dollar

Ecuador is a South American Country surrounded by Colombia, Peru, and the Pacific Ocean. It was home to the Inca Empire until it was colonized by Spain, part of Colombia until it was its own country. The equator runs in this nation, so you can be in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres at the same time.

This megadiverse country is home to the world-famous Galapagos Island as well as endemic species. It also has UNESCO World Heritage sites that are natural and cultural. Like most South American Countries, Mestizos, as well as Catholics, are dominant in the country. You will definitely enjoy a lot from this country.

Going to Ecuador

Aside from having a bus ride from Colombia or Peru, you can travel to Ecuador via Plane. There are flights from South America, USA (e.g. New York, Florida, Texas), Mexico,  Europe (e.g. Spain, Netherlands, France), and many more.

For those from the Philippines, you may travel to the US or other South American countries to go to Ecuador. However, I suggest doing a backpacking trip in South America.

Both churches are in Quito, so you better check it out and appreciate the architecture too!
