3. Visit La Brea Pitch Lake

Called the "Eighth Wonder of the World," by locals, you should not miss Pitch Lake. Go to the middle of nowhere and see the biggest natural deposit of asphalt in the whole world. You can get tours here and see a museum. Don't forget to get prepared for baths, especially during the rainy season.

4. See Mount Saint Benedict

Mount Saint Benedict Abbey is a monastery under the Order of Saint Benedict built in the early 1900s. You will hike to the top and be mesmerized by the beauty of this place.
