How Much Will I Pay? For up to two persons, USD 1469 per year; additional USD 500 per dependent per year; and 7% Credit Card Fee

Qualifications to be Eligible for a Digital Nomad Visa

Do you earn at least USD 100,000 a year? In case you are with a spouse, do you earn at least USD 150,000 a year? Or, if you are with a spouse and/or dependent, do you earn at least USD 180,000 a year?

Are you working at a company outside Cayman Islands?

If you are a dependent, are you one of these?

  • Spouse/civil

  • Child, step-child, or adopted child

  • Grandchild

  • Parent, or step-parent

  • Grandparent

  • Sibling or Half-Sibling

Documents Required for Your Application

Please scan them ahead. Make sure they are in English. If not, you must have an English Translation as well.

1. Proof of Employment or Income – provide a letter printed on a company letterhead proving that you are working outside Cayman Islands with your position, length of employment, and annual salary. Refer above for the requirement

2. Proof of Legal Existence of Employer or Company – Certificate of Good Standing, Certificate of Incorporation, or any Registration with an authorized government body in your country. Website details and social media profile should be included.

3. Bank Reference

  • Notarized bank reference – a written opinion of your credit standing by the bank manager; it should also include the length of time you’ve been with the bank and your average balance

  • 6 months Bank Statement

4. Copy of Passport Bio-Page

5. Police Clearance – Issued within the last 6 months from the last place you resided for more than 6 months

6. Proof of Health Insurance

  • Minimum of 30 days upon arrival in the Cayman Islands. You can go with SafetyWing’s Insurance.

  • After that, you will need to obtain local health insurance within 30 days of arriving in the Cayman Islands.

For Dependents

Requirements number 4 – 6; for police clearance, only those dependents 18 years and up

Include Proof of Relationship like Marriage Certificate, Birth Certificate, Adoption Papers, etc.

STEP 1: Gather all documents asked; make sure you have soft copies of them.

STEP 3: Double-check your answers. Agree to the terms and conditions before submitting your application.

STEP 4: A team will then be checking it, and you will be asked to pay the fee.

STEP 5: An official letter will be given to you after payment and approval.

  • You must follow Cayman Islands’ entry protocols

  • Upon approval, the applicant must go to Cayman Islands within 3 months

  • GCC Certificate is valid up to two years from arrival

  • Holders cannot work for companies and individuals in the territory

  • Holders and dependents can travel in and out of Cayman Islands; however, you should stay at least 90 days in every 12 months

  • In case you are terminated from your work, then you need to advise the authorities not later than 30 days after the termination

  • Global Citizen Certificate expires on the date of termination of one’s employment
