Main Requirements in Applying for Angola Tourist Visa

1. Valid Passport (Original and Photocopy [front page and those containing migratory movements])

2. Completed and signed application form. It should be printed or typed in blank ink.

3. Letter or request from the visa applicant addressed to the Consular and Diplomatic Mission of Angola (this letter must be notarized)

4. One (1) color passport-sized photo

5. Photocopy of the ticket to Angola, including the return ticket.

6. Copy of the hotel reservation. (It should have the official stamp from the hotel)

7. Proof of a yellow fever vaccine certificate (You can check here for the yellow fever vaccination clinics near you.)

7. Proof of sufficient funds to cover all expenses, it can be a bank statement that will support your trip. (200 USD per day of your stay)

Online pre-visa/ Visa on arrival

1. Since March 2018, the Migration and Foreigners Service Office of Angola began issuing tourist eVisas on arrival for citizens of 61 countries (including the USA). Tourists must first apply for a pre-visa online with the Migration and Foreigners Service. After the pre-visa is granted, you can then obtain a visa on arrival which must be printed and shown to the immigration officers upon arrival at the following designated ports of entry.

The visa fee for Angola eVisa is $120 which must be paid upon arrival.

  • Luanda Quatro de Fevereiro Airport

  • Lubango Airport

  • Massabi (Republic of the Congo border)

  • Luau (the Democratic Republic of the Congo border) 

  • Curoca (Namibia border)

Notes: The Angola eVisa on Arrival is only available for travelers that plan to enter Angola through one of those following ports.

The Immigration Officer at the port of entry may refuse entry to any person if they consider that such a person is unable to fulfill the immigration requirements.

1. The Angola eVisa is only valid for 30 days in total. 

2. The visa on arrival is also valid for business purposes.

3. Your passport must have at least 4 blank pages and a minimum of one year before expiration.

4. Upon arrival in Angola, you have to present your passport along with your printed e-receipt and all the other documents that were part of the application.
