How Many Days Can I Stay? Up to a Year

How Much Will I Pay? USD 287 plus medical insurance plus processing fee per person. Fees will depend on your citizenship and your location.

Qualifications to be Eligible for a Digital Nomad Visa

Are you a remote worker?

Is your monthly income at least USD 5,000?

If your answer to those questions is YES, please feel free to apply for Dubai’s Virtual Working Program.

In case you want to feel the vibe of Dubai, you can apply for a tourist visa first, then apply to their Program when you are there.

Documents Required for Your Application

1. Passport – valid for at least 6 months

2. Passport Photo – 45x35mm, digital copy with white background

3. Health Insurance – should be with UAE coverage validity. SafetyWing, however, does not cover residence in UAE.

4. Proof of Employment or Business – Employment Contract with at least one-year validity or Proof of Ownership for Business for more than a year.

5. Proof of Income – proof that you earn a minimum of USD 5,000 monthly

6. Bank Statements – for the last 3 months

Steps on applying for a Dubai Digital Nomad Visa

STEP 1: Gather all your documents; save them on your computer.

STEP 2: Proceed to this website; enter your details and click “Submit.”

STEP 3: You will be given an e-mail. There will be instructions there, so read carefully.

Send all your requirements to workvirtual@dubaitourism.ae.

STEP 4: Wait for their reply. After that, you will be given payment instructions and the amount.

STEP 5: Pay the fees required,

STEP 6: Wait for the decision that your visa is granted. Once you have it, you can enjoy the benefits of Dubai’s Virtual Working Program!

Things to Note:

  • There are no restrictions with regards to nationality, but immigration can reject an applicant due to national security

  • It does not apply to those with residency visa in Dubai

  • Holders can have access to phone lines, banks, accommodation, schools, and even have resident ID cards and COVID-19 vaccinations

  • Tourists in Dubai can enter this program even if they are in the city

  • There will be no income tax on individuals

  • Currently, it’s for remote workers, and bringing dependents are still on the talks
