Various Tourist Visas Explained
There are four types of VISA that a traveler can secure.
VISA-FREE All you need is your valid passport (at least six months valid), and you can enter the country without a visa for a specific period.
VISA-ON-ARRIVAL (VOA) When you arrive in a particular country, you can get a visa at the airport or terminal you land, you need to pay some specific fees, and you have a visa!
VISA-REQUIRED You need to apply at the embassy or through an accredited agency and pass specific requirements to obtain a VISA from the country you are visiting.
E-VISA You must apply and pay fees online for your visa application. Your passport number is on the database of the country you are planning to visit, so there’s no need for stickers or stamps.

Visa Free Countries for Canadian Passport Holder in Europe – Schengen Areas
For the following countries, A Canadian Passport holder can enjoy 90 days within any 180 day period in the Schengen Area.
What does this 90/180 rule mean? It means you can only travel around Schengen Areas for a maximum of 90 days within half a year. So if you entered the EU on January 1, and spent traveling from January 1 – March 30, a total of 90 days, then you need to exit EU and return after 180 days – July 1. Another example would be entering on January 1-30 (30 days), exiting on January 31st then going back in traveling on March 1-30 (another 30 days), exiting again and going back on June 1-30 (another 30 days), so you need to exit on June 31st and come back for another 90 days starting July 1.
Beginning in January 2021, European Travel Information and Authorisation System wherein Foreign visitors will be required to submit personal data in advance and pay a processing fee (noo fee for children) will become mandatory for all Non-EU international travelers.
