Getting a PSA Marriage Certificate Online or at the Centers

For those who recently got married and want proof for “change of status,” IDs, or visa applications, you will need a Marriage Certificate. For visa applications, you will need a Marriage Certificate in a SECPA or Security Paper, and only PSA could provide that. Here’s a guide on getting a PSA Marriage Certificate Online or at the Centers.

The Philippine Statistics Authority issues the Marriage Certificates, containing details like the date, witnesses, and officiant. After your marriage, the Local Civil Registrar will pass the information of the marriage contract to the PSA. In 2 to 3 months, you can get your copy! Read below on how!

  • The person in the Marriage Certificate (Husband or Wife)

  • Parent or direct descendants

  • Authorized by the person (must have Authorization Letter)

  • Court of Public Official

What Information Do You Need For The Issuance Of A PSA Marriage Certificate?

  • Complete Name of Husband (first, middle, last)

  • Complete Name of Wife (first, middle, last)

  • Marriage Date

  • Location of Marriage

  • Name and Address of Requesting Party

  • Copies Asked

  • Purpose

Steps On How To Get A PSA Marriage Certificate Online

As going out is not recommended these days, I suggest you do things online. A PSA Marriage Certificate can be requested online

STEP 1: Go to the PSA Serbilis Website and click "Click Here to Request Now."

STEP 2: After reading the terms and conditions, click "Accept."

Click "Next," after you enter the delivery details. Make sure they are correct as you will not get a refund in case it goes undelivered due to a “wrong address.”

STEP 3: Choose the PSA Marriage Certificate Button. Answer the next questions.

STEP 4: Type the information needed and double-check it before you save it.

STEP 5: If you are done, you can click “Submit.” However, if you need more documents from the PSA, feel free to do so. 

You will see on the summary how much you will need to pay. Take note of the batch number.

STEP 6: Pay the fee, which is PHP 330 per copy (USD 20.30 for delivery overseas). You can either pay online (Credit Card, Online Banking) or Over-the-counter Payment via Bayad Center. Don’t forget to print copies of the acknowledgment in case you pay via OTC.

There may be additional charges for service fees.

STEP 7: Wait for the Marriage Certificate to be delivered. A tracking number is usually sent to your e-mail.

STEP 8: Receive your PSA Marriage Certificate.

  • Metro-Manila - 3-5 working days after payment (3 weeks due to the pandemic)

  • Other cities or provinces - 4-9 working days after payment (4 weeks due to the pandemic)

  • Other countries - 6-8 weeks after payments (may take longer depending on restrictions)

Steps On How To Get A PSA Marriage Certificate At Census Serbilis Centers

In case you want to get a Marriage Certificate in only a few days, you will need to go to the nearest Census Serbilis Center.

STEP 1: Contact the nearest Census Serbilis Centers; the addresses are below. You may need to Google their numbers. Check if you need an appointment beforehand or walk-in is accepted.

Many government agencies might ask for an appointment to avoid their office being overcrowded.

STEP 2: Prepare the requirements needed. You can print the Marriage Certificate – Application form and fill it up ahead.

STEP 3: Go to the nearest Center (on your appointment date.) You may ask for a queue number from the officer.

STEP 4: During your turn, give your documents. Then, pay PHP 155 for every copy of the PSA Marriage Certificate Copy. Keep the Official Receipt.

STEP 5: Go back to the Census Serbilis Center on the date it is released. Bring your OR, Claim Stub, Valid ID, and Authorization (if necessary.) Go to the releasing area and receive your PSA Marriage Certificate.

Steps On How to Get A PSA Marriage Certificate at SM Business Center

PSA Marriage Certificate will take about 4 to 7 working days before the pandemic; it may take longer now.

STEP 1: Ready your Marriage Certificate – Application form and fill it up ahead. It’s also available at the SM Business Center.

STEP 2: Go to the nearest SM Business Center with your requirements, get a payment form and line to pay the fee.

STEP 3: When it's your turn, submit your requirements and pay the fee of PHP 180 per copy (there is an additional PHP 25 for the Service fee). Keep your OR and Claim stub,

STEP 4: Go back to the SM Business Center on the release date (with OR, Claim Stub, Valid ID, and Authorization, if applicable) and proceed to the releasing area. Get the PSA Marriage Certificate.
