Kach Solo Travels in 2017: Hitchhiking around towns here in Grand Comore, COMOROS!
I'm still on my 2-month Africa trip and will be finishing soon to return back to Jonathan in the USA.
I've been hitchhiking around towns here in Grand Comore.. the beach is beautiful, the people are friendly but there's a language barrier because I don't speak French... enjoying it here but compared to other countries and small Islands in the Indian Ocean (like Seychelles, Mauritius or Maldives).. this place is not developed for tourism.. trash is everywhere! Hope it will get fixed because the island and the people are really nice. It's 100% Muslim here so I had to dress appropriately and alcohol is not being served in public (only a few hotels). Anyway, sharing photos from my day trip around the small town of Ikoni (Iconi). There was an old church where women used to jump to commit suicide instead of being kidnapped by pirates of Madagascar. Ha! 🙈🙈
There are only a few accommodations here and I'm staying at one of the nicest ones called Retaj Moroni Hotel and my room is overlooking the ocean ❤️
