Expat Life in Montenegro Day 668: I’ve had a last minute Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy surgery

Life update 🙏🏼

Hello guys, I’ve been out of touch as it’s been a really tough week for me (if you experienced gallbladder attacks, you’ll understand! Huhu) and finally able to get discharged from the hospital.❤️

I’ve had a last-minute Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy surgery. I actually thought it’s going to be a more complicated case with open surgery because my gallbladder was inflamed and had crazy painful attacks in the last few days.🙏🏼

Getting an appointment with doctors, lab tests or even ultrasound takes a lot longer these days because of the pandemic but so glad that I was admitted to a hospital that is covid-free and they require you to do a test before performing the surgery!

I know I could have waited for weeks to get scheduled because of the hospital’s full capacity but so glad it’s all done now!

Jonathan and I are staying for the next 2 weeks in Belgrade, Serbia until I’m allowed to fly again!

Any tips in post-op recovery for those who’ve done this surgery? how long until you feel normal again?❤️
