Expat Life in Montenegro Day 658: Waiting for Jose to get his Residency Card here in Montenegro

Jonathan and I are back home in Montenegro after a week-long work trip to Moldova

I have so many meetings, work, house errands, and personal health issues to dealt situ since we got home so not really able to update you, guys!

In less than a month since my brother and his family arrived from Manila, our Accountant/ Lawyer made sure that Jose’s documents for his Company registration, residency, and Work Permit will be completed. So last Tuesday, they finally submitted everything and he did his medical and biometrics to convert his Type D visa to a Residency permit.

We’re now only waiting for Jose to get his Residency card then we’ll convert and process the residency request for his wife and two kids.. hopefully, all will be done by the 2nd week of April.

There are now stricter rules in Montenegro as they are hoping that the country will be open for the summer season. Now, most of the restaurants can only do takeaways and delivery but grocery stores are all open!

Intercity travel is only allowed for essential reasons etc. but to be honest, the perks of living in Herceg Novi (and with our lifestyle), we are not really bothered by stricter rules since we can still go to the beach or go hiking in the mountains surrounding us.

Jonathan is also getting started with his garden so we’ll have more fresh Asian veggies this summer!! We also finally had our storage room done with an outside sink for his gardening and bbq parties!
