Life On The Road Day 4: Shipping the Liferaft to Florida and Watching the Last Full Show of Avengers 🤩
We woke up really early morning because we know we have to drive to the port and speak to the freight company to ship our liferaft to Florida because another fellow Pinay who sails, Ate Genie, bought it! She and her husband are sailing too with their dog and they actually have a beautiful boat named s/v Tranquility III ⛵️
Glad they bought since we're really having a hard time selling it here in Puerto Rico because it's too expensive for locals and not everyone needs a big liferaft for rescuing.. definitely one expensive gear on the boat that you would never want to use! 🙏 We had to ship it by sea because of the materials of the package and it's not allowed on airplanes and it will take for them a week to deliver it to Florida! Yay! Glad the shipping lady and staff at SouthEastern Freight Lines were really nice because they usually ship containers and pallets with a local agent but we were there with a 70 lb. bag and trying to send privately! haha 😬😬
After that, we went to a Chinese restaurant.. yep, anywhere in the States, you just go to a Chinese place and that's where you can eat decent food for cheap! 😬
At night time, Jonathan asked me to go to the cinema and watch the Avengers movie.. I'm not a fan but I joined him and I fell asleep half of the show since it was from 9pm to midnight! 😬😬 I think the last time we went to Cinema together was in 2017 in Miami (I went to Cinema few months ago with my sailing friends but Jonathan didn't join!).
That's our day so far.. almost back to being normal again! For now, praying to sell our windlass and we'll be officially free! 😬
