Sailing Life Day 76: Learning how to make homemade bread on the boat! 🤗
I spent most of the time yesterday on the sailboat while decluttering our things as we’re donating them to the Animal group here to raise some funds! Can’t believe how we accummulated a lot of things in less than a year time.. from living on a backpack to suitcase and now this! Haha!🙈
Anyway, the other day Jonathan brought home a big round pumpkin (kalabasa in Tagalog) that was given by our French friend! So, I made Ginataang Kalabasa yesterday with Sardinas! 🤪 We don’t have any frozen meat stock now on the boat and we’re planning to re-supply after our Jamaica trip next week and hoping we’ll use the canned goods we bought in Florida first so not to waste money. Kelangan magtipid! 🙀
By afternoon, I went to Cj and Eric’s SV Ragnarok to learn how to make bread.. she’s been baking a lot on their boat since they started sailing 2 years ago and now I believe she’s an expert after we tried her bread last time! I’ve learned it yesterday and we even have a take a home cinnamon bread for dinner! Yummy! I’m really happy to really learn new things as I really dream of becoming a good homemaker- from cooking (lately hindi na sunog! hehe) and hopefully next is to baking from scratch! ❤️
If you have any bread or baking recipe, please share in the comment below! All of your recipe comments last time was already written on my small notebook! Thank you everyone 🙏
Jonathan has been busy lately learning how to build boats with our French friend who owns a boat-building business here in DomRep! ❤️
P.S Captain Ahab is doing well lately.. he’s taking his medicine twice a day.. I mix it with his wet food so he didn’t notice! 🐈🤗
