Kach Solo Travels in 2019: Homestay at Bulunkul Village

6th coldest place on Earth (I don’t know what’s the first 5.. hahaha)

Funny how my tour guide would say that Bulunkul village is the 6th coldest place in the world.. but I wasn’t able to verify because there’s no internet but it was indeed really cold here.. 🤣

I think the elevation of the lake is 4,296 meters and the village is 3700 meters above sea level. My tour buddies and I had issues with altitude and allergy so had to take medicine.😋

Living in high altitude is quite hard and so impressed how the families in the small village survive and enjoy their life.. they cooked fried fish (from the nearby lake) and rice soup for us for dinner (cooking takes a lot longer when it’s high up!)... I played with their cats while there as there’s nothing else to do aside from talking to the lady who was our host 😍

On this leg of the roadtrip, we started to see snowcapped mountains and less greenery... a lot more yaks and even two wolf (my guide said they only appear during winter and uncommon to see them during this month, I thought foxed buy my guide just corrected me. Hahaha).

Still have a lot to share from my Tajikistan Pamir Highway roadtrip with Paramount Journey. 🤩 Hope you’ll not get tired with my catching up posts! haha
