Kach Solo Travels in 2017: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, UGANDA! ❤️

What's up? Been out of the internet after I crossed the border from Rwanda to Uganda! I took a bus ride for $5 and arrived in Kabale, Uganda where my private safari driver picked me up! Took me 3 hours to get my passport stamped at the Immigration because the lines were crazy long but the good thing was that I already have my East African Visa so I didn't have to pay anything and no other requirements asked from me!

The last 3 days have been incredible, met new friends from the bus journey and at my Gorilla Safari Lodge! Yesterday, I finally did one of my ultimate bucket lists - GORILLA Tracking!! Trekked in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to look for the endangered mountain Gorillas that can be only found in Uganda, Congo, and Rwanda. This is different from the low-land gorillas that you'll see in zoos or in other parts of Africa. The government permit just to allow me to do it was $600 (cheaper than the $1500 that Rwanda is charging / can't do in Congo because it's still unstable there, have you seen the documentary called VIRUNGA?)

Anyway, I was with 4 other tourists.. the maximum number of people per trek is 8 people because the permit is really limited to protect the Gorillas. I had a hard time trekking as I'm not really into hiking so luckily I had a porter who helped me with my bag and pulling me from the mud! Also realized afterward was that we're just by the border of Congo (my other dream destination but not for now!) Posting photos and videos later of the gorillas I just moved to another place, the Kabale National Park and my beautiful cottage is just overlooking a gorgeous lake, listening to birds chirping and watching a Hippo (yep, just one!)
