Expat Life in Montenegro Day 641: Converting a Type D Visa to a Temporary Residency Permit

I’ve helped so many Filipinos in getting their visa abroad but I’m so happy that finally, I’m able to do it with my brother and his family.

If you followed the blog then you know that I’ve traveled more with my younger sister, Krista (who is now based in the Netherlands).

But what some of you didn’t know is that when I quit my job to go backpacking in South East Asia around 2013, I traveled initially with Krista and Jose. It’s both their first time to leave the Philippines and finally na-introduce sila sa backpacking! But Jose had baby kagad so lagi syang iwan na! Haha

As the eldest, my goal is to make sure that all of us will have a better life.. walang maiiwanan! Now, Jose is here together with his wife and two children. I’m confident that they can make the best out of it with their Entrepreneurial mindset and kahit anong mangyare naman I will make sure that they will never have to worry about their kids' future.

Last week, we were able to open their bank accounts, set up the DOO for their Trading business, got the Diplomas submitted for authentication, and got them registered at the MUP and turisticka office

Just a few more steps to go then we’ll get their Temporary Residence Permit that they can easily renew every year until they become a permanent residents in Montenegro after 5 years. Hopefully, when Migo is 10 years old he'll become a Montenegro citizen and by that time EU na so he can freely travel, study and live anywhere in Europe! haha!

Jose already started driving my car so they can use it while I plan to buy a bigger car that I could use off-road but Jonathan is being too choosy (and kuripot)!! Haha! Let’s see
