20 Best Wedding First Dance Song for Couples who love to Travel (Travel Couples)

Like any other future bride and groom, we all want the perfect first dance (even if most of us can’t dance).  But that wouldn’t matter if you have good songs to back you up. As a rule of thumb, you have to choose songs that can tell the world your story. And for those people with itchy feet, I have listed 20 Best Songs which you can use for your Wedding.

You can call me old – school but a number of my best bets are songs from decades ago. But of course, there are some from contemporary artists. Ready to pick yours?

1. When I Fall in Love by Nat King Cole

“When I fall in love it will be forever

Or I'll never fall in love

In a restless world like this is

Love is ended before it's begun

And too many moonlight kisses

Seem to cool in the warmth of the sun”

Because traveling couples are restless and this song is just so romantic.

2. Can you Feel the Love Tonight by Elton John

“It's enough for this wide-eyed wanderer that we got this far”

Who didn’t cry while watching Lion King? I did – and a lot. But more than the story, the soundtrack is also perfect for traveling couples.

3. Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley

“Like a river flows

Surely to the sea

Darling, so it goes

Some things are meant to be”

Can you still remember how many rivers and sea you have crossed together?

4. I Do (Cherish You) by 98 Degrees

“How you opened my life

To a new paradise”

Admit it, every place that you have been together has become a paradise.

5. Yours by Russel Dickerson

“I was a boat stuck in a bottle

That never got the chance to touch the sea

Just forgot on the shelf

No wind in the sails

Going no where with no one but me”

That’s the first part of the song. As it progresses, it says,

“But...

I came to life when I first kissed you

The best me has his arms around you

You make me better than I was before

Thank God I'm yours”

If this won’t melt you, I don’t know what will!

6. Die a Happy Man by Thomas Rhett

“If I never get to see the Northern lights

Or if I never get to see the Eiffel Tower at night

Oh, if all I got is your hand in my hand

Baby, I could die a happy man”

Of course traveling couples would like to see the Northern Lights or Paris. But one thing is for sure, being with their partner is already enough. So cheesy here!

7. Swept Away by Christopher Cross

“And so it begins

This journey of love

The summer wind carries us to places all our own”

Being in a journey to various countries is different from the journey of love. But if combined together – it is magical.

8. Runaway by The Corrs

“Cause I have run away

I have run away, yeah..., yeah

I have run away, run away

I have run away with you”

Because now, you can really run away together!

9. Wonderwall by Ryan Adams

"And all the roads we have to walk are winding

And all the lights that lead the way are blinding"

Literally, you guys have walked winding roads but look at where you are right now. You are in the perfect spot – in each other’s arms.

10. Hold On by Michael Bublé

"There's so many dreams that we have given up.

Take a look at all we've got,

and with this kind of love,

and what we've got here is enough."

Travelers have left few of their dreams to fulfill a bigger one, to travel the world – and with someone they love.

11. What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong

“I see trees of green, red roses too

I see them bloom for me and you

And I think to myself what a wonderful world.”

When you are a traveling couple, you can really see the beauty in everything. Don’t you think?

12. Thinking out Loud by Ed Sheeran

“When your legs don't work like they used to before

And I can't sweep you off of your feet

Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love?

Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks?”

Eventually as you grow older, your feet will get tired and you can’t easily travel. This song is perfect if you want to tell your partner that you are ready to face the world – even if you cannot travel around it any longer.

13. Songbird by Eva Cassidy

“To you, I would give the world

To you, I'd never be cold

'Cause I feel that when I'm with you

It's alright”

If you are a traveling couple, it’s like you are giving your world to each other. So this is one of the perfect songs for you.

14. So Close by Jon McLaughlin

“You're in my arms, and all the world is calm.

The music playing on for only two.

So close, together.

And when I'm with you

So close, to feeling alive.”

Do you ever get that feeling that things around you are serene and peaceful, as long as you are with the one you love?

15. Only You by The Platters

“Only you can make all this world seem right

Only you can make the darkness bright”

Let’s face it, there are places which are not too perfect. But if you are with someone you love, everything seems to fall into place.

16. For your Precious Love by Jerry Butler

“Only you can make all this world seem right

For as long as you're in love with me,

Our love will grow wider,

Deeper than any sea.”

Can you still remember the deepest part of the sea that both of you have been into?

17. All My Life by K- Ci & Jojo

“Said, I promise to never fall in love with a stranger,

You're all I'm thinking of, I praise the Lord above,

For sending me your love, I cherish every hug,

I really love you”

This is a good song choice if you met while traveling, like Two Monkeys. Who would have thought that the strangers from different sides of the world were meant to fall in love?

18. Someone Like You by Van Morrison

"I've been traveling all around the world

Waiting for you to come through ”

Definitely, a nice piece for those people who found true love while on the road.

19. Grow Old with You – Adam Sandler

“I wanna make you smile whenever you're sad

Carry you around when your arthritis is bad

All I wanna do is grow old with you”

While I couldn’t directly relate arthritis with travel, I’m sure you can pretty much remember that this song was sung inside an airplane and that’s one cute reason to include this in our list. :)

20. The Gift – Jim Brickman

“Winter snow is falling down

Children laughing all around

Lights are turning on

Like a fairy tale come true”

Because getting married to someone with the same passion (traveling in this case) is just a fairy tale come true!
