Sailing Life Day 331: Solo Adventures to Caja de Muertos / Coffin Island in Ponce, Puerto Rico
After few relaxing days staying at Hilton, Jonathan decided to stay on our sailboat and beging to work on his boat upgrades and projects - replacing the windows and installing our windlass.😚
Since it's Saturday, I've decided to go on my solo adventures instead of just sleeping and watching netflix. 😜
I went on a day trip to the small island near Ponce.. some of our sailing friends went there on the sailboat but told us it's not great for anchoring so we knew we'll not sailthere so I arranged my trip with Island Venture Water Excursions.⛵️🏝
What an incredible day meeting new friends including Alberto and Orlando who were traveling together then Madeleine and Rene (her father) who are all Puerto Ricans. The trip started at 8:30am and we returned back to the harbour at 4pm! It was only a 25 minutes ride on their speedboat to the island where they have their own spot for the water activities - paddle board, kayak and the floating games. I also went on a hike to the lighthouse with my new friends then returned to the boat during lunch time because the lunch and snacks are included aside from unlimited drinks and beer!😜🤣
On the way back, my new friends told me that they are going to have some Chinese food and invited me to join in.. it's been a while since I had a good meal so I did join them and leftover was set aside for Jonathan! haha! They evern showed me around the town and the shopping mall where they have cinema! It's so modern here compared to the other places we've been in Puerto Rico!👍
Really enjoyed my solo adventures yesterday and our friends are already inviting me and Jonathan to go out and watch a movie in the next few days! 🤟
The new people we meet while traveling are definitely making things more memorable for us! 🥰😘
