Kach Solo Travels in 2019: Hello from Samarqand / Samarkand in the southeastern part of Uzbekistan!
This city is popular during the old days as an important location of the silk road. Also very known for their beautiful mausoleums and mosques ππ½
So, I traveled her by train on my own from the capital of Tashkent and itβs only 2 hours / 30 minutes on their speedtrain.. My tour operator, Lifetime Adventures, bought my ticket in advance and also arranged a taxi to pick me up and drop me at the train station at 6:30am! Glad I already re-packed my clothes to use this week to my duffel/ duffle bag the night before so it was easy for me that morning. Surprised how nice and clean the train is.. much better than the trains I experienced in Europe! haha
The train left on time at 7:30am and also arrived before 10am where Jakhongir, the another partner of the agency, was waiting for me! We immediately went to the guesthouse where Iβd stay for 2 nights to drop my things and changed my clothes to start my full day of tour.
The first stop was the Amir Temur Mausoleum.. one of the most popular attractions in the country! Just google him as this post will be too long! haha ππ
Will post more photos from our next stops - Siyab Bazaar, Registan, Gur-e-Amir, Bibi-Khanym Mosque, ShahiZinda, Afrasiab, the silk carpet company and even the old-paper making village aside from the old cemetery! ah, too much too see!! haha π€£
