Kach Solo Travels Day 11: Experienced the Opera Festival 2018 in Herceg Novi, Montenegro! ⭐️

I thought watching 5 musical shows in West End London and a Broadway show in New York was great enough until I watched a live Opera musical in a Fort overlooking the ocean and under the stars (and almost full moon, tonight is a full moon) in the Mediterranean!⭐️🙏

The venue was in Old Town, Forte Mare, Kanli Kula.. it was built in 14th and 17th century by the Turks then repaired by the Venetians. It was a castle than a preserved water cistern but at some point turned into a prison. It was restored in 1833 and since 1952 it has become known for summer stage, open air cinema and space for shows like this Opera show, they’ve said it’s one of the most beautiful ones in the Mediterranean!😍

We went on a day tour to Kotor (a UNESCO heritage site) yesterday then took an afternoon break before our late lunch at Restoran Kantula then went to watch a 3-hour Opera show in French but with English subtitle (on the wall!)! We had the VIP ticket so we were able to join the sponsors of the show on free wine drinks during the 20-minute break!

From adventure activities, watersports, yummy food, cultural experiences and shows like this, I highly recommend you guys checking out HERCEG NOVI! It’s cheaper compared to the nearby popular cities of Kotor and Dubrovnik (Croatia) which are both 45 minutes drive away and you get passport stamp if you want to collect! Haha 🤪
