Kach Solo Travels in 2019: Nursultan / Astana - the City of the Future!
Can you believe that most of these infrastructures were built only after it became officially the capital of Kazakhstan in 1997! 🤓
Completely different compared to my experience visiting Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.. this city luxury break in the last 4 days have been very fun for me. If you decide to visit the capital, you could also go to the National parks and mountains but I opted to just explore the city on this visit.😍
A very modern city with a lot of ongoing constructions, unique architectures, and high-rise buildings! I’ve been lucky to be hosted by The Ritz-Carlton, Astana on my 4 days stopover here (and celebrating my 129th country) and most of the attractions are within the city centre but I did two days of a private tour.
Some of the places I visited:
- Energy of the Future Museum (Expo 2017)
- Baiterek Tower (went inside!)
- Ishym River
- Hazrat Sultan Mosque
- Shabyr Art Palace
- Independence Palace
- Khan Shatyre Mall (with indoor beach club and the sand is imported from the Maldives and small dinosaur park!)
- Park of Lovers
- House of Ministries
And most of the government buildings here are mostly newly built and have very distinguished designs! If you like going on urban trips then you must add Astana on your list to visit! Best time to visit is from June to September then it will be all cold and winter. I read that this is the second coldest Capital in the world!
You can do this in one day like what I did then the next day I went on an Ethno-Cultural tour and learned more about the traditional Kazakh culture ❤️
