Kach Solo Travels in 2019: Driving in North Hunza Valley to Khunjerab Pass
North Pakistan - Driving in North Hunza Valley to Khunjerab Pass- the highest border crossing in the world.
This was actually one of my happiest days in the last 2 months of my solo travels because the mountainous scenery of the Karakoram highway was just so incredibly beautiful.
We went to the highest pass and to the border crossing of Pakistan and China, it was around 4.733m (15,528ft) above sea level. Along the way, we saw different lakes, glaciers and even the Suspension Bridge Hussaini which is one of the most adventurous and dangerous in the world! We even stopped at the Glacier Breeze Cafe & Restaurant for me to try the best apricot cake in Hunza Valley.
I also met random locals who are genuinely friendly and hospitable.. they mostly speak English and would always ask about my country and how Iβm loving their country and their food.π
Unfortunately, the car accident happened on our way back to the hotel but however painful and sad that experience was, the beauty of North Pakistan and its people wonβt change in my mind and heart. I will definitely come back to Pakistan to explore more!! β€οΈ
