Kach Solo Travels Day 21: Meeting a Blog Reader in Romania :)
Who would have thought that we have readers in Romania? ❤️
The other day I’ve met a wonderful couple who is following our blog for years, they found the blog because they also call each other “monkeys” and was planning to start their travelogue until they found us! Very well-educated, well-traveled and had a great conversation about our cats (they have a cat too! Hahaha)...it was a great night meeting Catalina and Robert! That was already surprising for me that someone in Romania knows us! Ha!
But then the other day, I received a random message from a Romanian girl on our page and told me that she wants to meet up (together with her husband).. since I changed my itinerary and decided to leave for Bulgaria on Wednesday night.. I said that I could meet them for lunch before I travel..then she said she made a reservation at a local restaurant and that they’ll pick me up from Athenee Palace Hilton Bucharest (Check the Latest Room Rates Here) where I stayed for 6 days❤️
So I met up with them - Raluca and Shahriar (he’s originally from Bangladesh but moved to New Zealand when he was still a kid!)!
I asked how she found the blog and wondering that it’s most probably because of my photos of Captain Ahab (our kitten).. we actually started having more readers lately outside from my usual ones (fellow Filipinos and British) because they want to follow our cat’s sailing adventures!Hahaha! True story!🤪🤣
But I was so surprised when Raluca told me that she’s been following the blog even before Jonathan & I got married! She actually told me stories of my adventures that she knows and now they are booking their Antarctica cruise this December after reading our adventure in 2016.. Not just that she knows all the details.. I was really teary-eyed there! She said she never commented on any of my posts (I never heard or read any from her before) but she’s read most of it in the last 3 years.. wow, thank you Lord that people are still entertained with my crazy writing! Haha ❤️
Such a lovely couple...they traveled to 35 countries, just got married 2 months ago and they are traveling today to Norway! They also have two cats so of course the conversation involves about our kittens (my children!!) 🙏They brought me to Hanul Berarilor - Casa Cu Soare restaurant where they had me try some local Romanian cuisine that I really enjoyed!! Then we went to the mall as I had issues with my phone (I thought I had to buy a new one but ended up it’s only a wire problem! Thanks Shah for figuring it out! Yipeee!).. after that they brought me to the Village Museum where I saw real local houses of Romanians in different towns that was brought a gathered in that open museum! ❤️
Very grateful to meet these kind of people during my solo trip! ❤️ Thank you, God!! ❤️ For anyone out there who are cat-people then would love to meet you! hihihi 🤣🤣
Now that my phone is working again, I’ll be sharing all the photos in these last 6 days of incredibly and unexpectedly one of the best experiences of my solo traveling life! ❤️
