Kach Solo Travels Day 24: Meet up with a blog reader and a Roadtrip to RILA MONASTERY in Bulgaria
I’ve met another reader today but this time a lovely fellow Filipina who moved to Sofia, Bulgaria last year and married to a Bulgarian man! 🙂
She said that she followed our blog in 2016 when she was still working in Qatar.. here she is now, enjoying every weekends exploring Bulgaria with her very smart husband and cutie baby boy! 🙂
I took a taxi to go to their home where we started our 2 hour roadtrip to RILA MONASTERY which is known to be the largest and most famous Eastern Orthodox monastery in this country (with 1000 year history!). We had to cover up since it’s considered as a holy site.
The entrance is free unless you want to go to the history museum. After that we drove to a nearby restaurant to try fresh river trout with local side dish and I had a hot soup which was yummy! 🙂
Then we drove back to Maison Sofia Hotel (Check the Latest Room Rates Here) where I’ve been staying for 4 days during this stop on my 107th country! Woot! 🤗
Thank you Jaja and Alexander.. I had a great time and really interesting conversation about technology, cryptocurrency and more! ❤️
