Kach Solo Travels Day 64: Day Tour to Kruja, Albania!
Last day in Albania today as I’m about to board my flight back to New York with a layover in Vienna, Austria ❤️ I’m excited to go home and get fit again but still enjoying this work-travel trip where for the first time, I actually felt more like vacation than a work trip! Haha! I think I’m less workaholic now 😍
Yesterday, Adriatik Tours LLC guide brought me to KRUJA which is an hour away from my Hotel Adriatik Durres (Check the Latest Room Rates Here)! It’s a historic town and I definitely had an amazing time! 🤗
I’ve listened to locals playing Cifteli and attempted to play it myself as well.. a local lady decided to dress me up with a traditional clothing as well while we were in the Bazaar! Then we walked and went to the Ottoman fortress for the National Museum "Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu” and the Turkish bath! It has a great viewpoint of the city as well! We then went to lunch at the Panorama restaurant where I tried to eat Tave Dheu, Veal Brain (yep, real brain! 😛) and a roasted lamb dish! Check my IG stories! 😘
From there, we drove for 15 minutes up in a mountain to visit the Cave of Sarisalltik, which was a 13th-century semi-legendary dervish venerated as a saint by the Bektashis in the Balkans and parts of the Middle East! I took some Holy water to bring home.. you may not believe on this kind of thing but I believe in miracles and healing! 😜
Ha, we arrived at the hotel at 5pm so I could take a nap before catching up with online work and my itinerary in New York for 5 days! Today is a more chilled day.. will post more later ❤️
Oh Albania, you surpassed my expectations! Loving my first time experience as a tourist 😎
