Kach Solo Travels Day 63: 4th Day in Albania and we visited BERAT which is a UNESCO World Heritage Town since 2008 ❤️
My guide Marios and driver Lule of Adriatik Tours LLC picked me at the Hotel Adriatik Durres (Check the Latest Room Rates Here) (where I’m staying for 4 nights) at 10am and drove for almost 2 hours to Berat. We arrived at the castle and started my tour from the medieval center of the town located next to Mangalemi neighborhood, and the old bazaar by the river then we walked to the 4th Century BC fortress located on the top of the hill overlooking the Osumi River. Within the fortress, my guide wanted me to the check the old Christian orthodox cathedral of the town but I was too lazy to climb down and up as it’s too hot! Hahaha!
Instead we watched the Miss Globe finalists having their pre-pageant pictorial and I got to speak with Michelle the Representative of the Philippines! Praying she’ll get the crown.. her beauty and charm stands out anyway! Haha
For lunch, we stopped at restaurant Muzakajt where I had some traditional food as stuffed peppers, spinach pie, and different tave Albanian dishes while enjoying the relaxing view of the 1001 windows❤️
On our way back to the hotel, we stopped in a local winery in Berat where I bought 2 bottles of white wine that I drank during my dinner! Haha 😜
Loving the food and the people here in Albania.. on Day 5th (yesterday), I went to Kruja and today we’ll be exploring Durress after my yoga class this morning 💋
