Expat Life in Montenegro Day 439: Jonathan's first crew training on Black Mystery! ⛵️

So happy for Jonathan, we don’t own a boat now but he’s been sailing three times since he got back to Montenegro!

Yesterday afternoon Jonathan had his first crew training on Black Mystery, an RC44 full carbon fibre racing sailboat! ⛵️

After sailing several times in small local regattas with local skipper Sasa, he was invited to join the crew this season.

Unfortunately, due to the Covid situation, they don't know when the next regatta will be, but they will be training regularly in Boka anyway.

It's an amazing opportunity to be able to sail on a boat like this!

The boat is based in and sponsored by the brand new Portonovi Marina in Kumbor, just 15 minutes drive from our house.

The last regatta, Islands of Boka Bay, was held in Portonovi Marina last month with 38 boats competing. There was also a beer and wine tasting and prize giving at the end. Jonathan was supposed to be part of the crew but he was back in the UK at that time.

Make sure to follow us and Portonovi marina
to see more amazing sailing events like this! ❤️
