Expat Life in Montenegro Day 634: Life as “Immigrants” in Montenegro 😜

From Infanta, Quezon Province to Herceg Novi.

I don’t know if the correct term will be ex-pats or immigrants but hey.. my brother and his family are enjoying their time so far, they arrived last Monday and still coping with jetlag! Haha

It’s their first time to travel to Europe and now will be living here permanently with us.

We were able to begin the process of converting their Type D visa to a Temporary Residency permit which I hope will all be done by next month!

Kisse (my sis-in-law) is a great cook and pastry baker and she’s been cooking a lot of Asian food and even ube pandesal for us! Haha They brought so many ingredients from the Philippines since you couldn’t find it here in Montenegro.

They are currently staying in our house but they have their own kitchen, living room, bedroom, and two toilets so we still have our privacy (and peace & quiet! ).

We went on short walks from our house to the promenade and a day trip to the mountainside!

Next week we will go skiing so they can experience proper snow, my brother is already 28 years old and hasn’t seen snow so I’m so excited for him and the kids!

Hopefully, once they settle down properly, the Schengen zone is open again and we will be allowed to travel .. we’ll get them visas so we can go on a road trip to visit our sister in the Netherlands!

But for now, I’m so happy that they are finally experiencing the peaceful life in Montenegro More daily life update over at Life in Montenegro by Kach Howe - Twomonkeystravel/ Mr&MrsHowe Blog
