Tips for an Angkas Driver
Safety is a top priority, if you are sick, drunk or not feeling well, then don’t drive
Be polite to the passengers and offer them what they need – be it masks if it’s dusty or shower cap if your helmet doesn’t smell good anymore; a polite Angkas driver will have more stars and get good reviews
Ask passenger if they would want a specific route or suggest a route if that would be okay with them, most Angkas riders are those who are in a hurry – so if you know a route much easier, sabihin mo sa passenger mo – baka mag-alala at matakot
Know the peak hours – usually, it will be mornings before work or after work when people want to go home; it will be traffic and some want to be in a hurry. Make sure you are available by then.
Stand-by at a place where there will be a lot of passengers – school, work area – you can stand by there on a shade and wait for your booking
Bring a charger, sayang naman if ma-lobat ka at dami pang passenger
Don’t forget to eat and go to the bathroom. Yung iba, drive lang ng drive at walang kain – ang resulta nyan mag-kakasakit ka. So stop and eat, mas malaki yung gastos mo sa hospital kaysa kita mo ng isang ride.
There will be days that are good and bad, so be patient.
Attend trainings and use what you have learned well.
Clean your motorcycle, helmets and yourself. Para nice tingnan.
Bring change. Have extra money na panukli mo.
