So whenever I arrived at a hotel where my stay is sponsored/ hosted... I usually have someone from the management to welcome me and give me a quick property tour but yesterday I didn’t expect to meet the General Manager himself, Mr. Antonis! ❤️

Incredible conversation about Cyprus, the property, his travels and even how he got started working for the Palm Beach Hotel & Bungalows (Check the Latest Room Rates Here) (he has an MBA in Cornell University in New York!) 😬 He invited me for lunch and ordered the best dishes that I could ever taste and feel that I’m in Cyprus - from salad, appetizer dips, fresh snapper, salmon, shrimp, lamb liver, pork chops with fresh local bread.. I ate too much! Hahaha 🤗

Then he told me about the “repeaters” cocktail party during sunset... If you’re not aware of this kind of event, this is usually organized by management for their loyal guests who keep returning on holidays to the same property... I’ve noticed this in Florida, Jamaica and other places esp if the hotel is family-owned😬 They had wine and appetizer snack yesterday and I went to crash the party!

That’s where I’ve met a British couple and a Scottish lady who is traveling on her own who I spent my dinner and night with! ❤️ The people you meet while traveling is indeed very diverse but to be honest, most of the friends I’ve met while traveling are older than me.. they usually take me with them like a little kid lost in the world! Kidding. Hahaha 🤪

We had a really good BBQ Buffet dinner while watching a beautiful dance performance and acoustic music! Really interesting conversation with Dolores who is now widowed.. her husband used to go in the same resort with her for years. And since she’s very familiar with the place, she still kept going even on her own! The staff knows her very well and also made friends with another couple (Lyn and Rod from southeast England) who already stayed in the property for 36 times— yes! Hearing from them about why they love staying here made me appreciate the genuine kindness of the staff! ⭐️Brilliant night and I’m off to hang out this morning with her before I go on a tour around the city centre this afternoon and will be having a lovely dinner at the hotel again (every night, the hotel has a theme party!)

It’s never too late for you to explore even if you’re on your own.. be like Dolores! Haha ❤️🤗💋
