Kach Solo Travels in 2020: From Laguna to Tagaytay, Philippines ❤️
Every time I go back home to the Philippines, I’d have to make sure that I will always visit Tagaytay because of my “panata” since when I was in High School to go to Pink Sisters. All of my prayers/ intentions that I prayed there came true but this year is going to be much more memorable because of Taal Volcano.
My family drove from our house in Sta Rosa, Laguna to Tagaytay early morning for our pre-arranged glamping at Nurture Wellness Village who hosted me and my whole family for an overnight staycation which is perfect for Balikbayans like me.
We ate the super yummy suman with mango as a welcome snack then the best “bilao” style Pinoy food lunch, toured around their organic garden while my niece & youngest sister tried to learn how to make a kite and a sipa bola out of coconut leaves. My father and I also experienced their best Nilaib massage for 90 minutes session! ❤️ They even prepared a “boodle fight” dinner for us.
Then around lunchtime, the volcano started to erupt quickly than we thought.. guests at the hotel started to check out, leave and traffic was so bad. We thought of leaving but our car’s air-conditioner had problem that day and we couldn’t be stuck in traffic and ashfall with my pregnant sis-in-law and my young niece. Our cousins took more than 5 hours driving home because of the traffic.
There’s also no electricity on that side of Tagaytay but Nurture Wellness had a massive generator to sustain the night and they made sure we’ll be safe to stay the night. They moved us from the glamping tents to one of their ground floor family room so we’ll be together. We experienced a lot of long tremors/earthquake and kept in touch with friends in Batangas (and helped, no need to write more about it)❤️ Glad I’m with my whole family and also able to meet cousins and uncles/aunts over the weekend.
The next day early morning, we left and thanked everyone at the hotel (esp thanks to Ms Irish) then went to Pink Sisters for my “panata” before driving back home to Sta Rosa, Laguna.
What a weekend indeed and been busy in the last few days arranging my documents - driver’s license, NBI clearance, banks etc! Ha!
