Saling Life Day 60: Food Trip and meeting new friends here in Hideaway at Royalton Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Food food food! I’ve already decided that I’ll eat as much as I can and just go back to normal eating when we return to our sailboat! Haha 🤪

We had a room service for breakfast- we already tried the a la carte restaurant then the buffet for our first 2 days! For lunch, we’ve tried the buffet the day before so we went back to Dorado restaurant for a steak lunch! Haha! Dorado restaurant is only exclusive for the Hideaway guests.. special treatment ganun! Haha 😂

For Dinner this time, I had a massive rib-eye steak again! I’ve been eating a lot of beef steak dishes because they were really expensive to eat in the States, Bahamas and Turks & Caicos! We splurged sometimes but couldn’t do it more often as it will not be good on my monthly budget! Haha 🤩Everytime we return to our room, they have bottles of drinks for us- red wine, champagen, Bombay Gin etc! 😎

We also met new friends, 2 different couples from Hungary and USA who are the same as our age and just taking a break from work! Funny because we all ended up talking about were our pets at home! Hahaha! They have 2 dogs each and we have a cat! 🤪🤪

Anyway, the staff was so wonderful here esp Angelo (the bartender) and Luddy (at the Dorado resto).. whenever we arrive they already know what we want to drink or the appetizer we want to eat! Feel at home! 😂

Jonathan wasn’t so keen on the water activities.. we planned to use the paddleboard or the hobie cat but not appealing for him since that’s what we do and have on our daily life on the sailboat! So, most of our time were spent eating, watching shows, talking to random people while drinking my Tiki-Tiki cocktail and when it’s early afternoon we’re just inside the room watching TV (and enjoying the AC)! Haha 😂

I really love all-inclusive so already planning where we can experience it next! Yay!

We have one more day left here and returning to the boat.. we had a blast of no itinerary and work but we really miss our Captain Ahab! He needs a playmate so he’ll not be bored without us! Glad that his petsitter keeps sending us updates and his photos! ❤️
