Liveaboard Life Day 278: 1st Day exploring Cap Haitien, Haiti

This is HAITI πŸ€™ So happy to say that this is the 121st country I've visited on my Philippines Passport.. have to keep repeating this as it's been crazy hardwork reaching this point since traveling full-time in 2013 πŸ™

It's visa-free here which means no other questions and requirements at the Immigration πŸ˜

We arrived yesterday in Cap Haitien in North Haiti and already experienced the night life after meeting Kuya Adrien, the Filipino co-owner of Cap Deli Haiti who I met thru a blog reader πŸ˜ There are a lot of Filipinos here working as Managers, Engineers and even business co-owners. πŸ€™

So we arrived by bus and our hotel picked us up with their private car and drove up the hill where Satama Hotel (Check the Latest Room Rates Here) is located.. this is the newest and most luxurious hotel in the city and so happy they are hosting our stay for 3 nights aside from arranging our tours with Destination Creole destinationcreole.com (their own tour agency!)

After we checked in at our beautiful room with a view of the city, Kuya Adrian picked us up for dinner at the restaurant! We had a really good pizza, seafood platter and asian sweet & sour chicken for dinner while drinking Rum Sour and a local beer called Prestige! πŸ˜Ž

During dinner, Kuya's uncle dropped by and met us.. he's actually living in Haiti for 30 years now and brought a lot of family members here and he's in charge building Casinos in the Caribbean and now in Haiti! We don't gamble but we went with him to the local casino and he gave us some chips to play with to have fun.. unexpectedly, Kelly won $150 and we decided to cash out and go back to the hotel πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚hahaha πŸŒž

This morning, we started our day going to the local market to buy swimsuit for our tour tomorrow, flipflops and toothbrush because I forgot to pack πŸ€£

Well, more stories for our second day later where we went to amazing tour & horseride to the Citadelle de Herny, Sans Souci palace, our shopping at the local market and a yoga class!

Loving our experience in Haiti so far and we're off to Labadee & Amiga Island tomorrow πŸ˜
