Expat Life in Montenegro Day 559: Rainy December in Montenegro!

Hello guys, how’s your week so far? It’s been rainy for the last 2 weeks here in Montenegro which I actually like because our water tank (that collects rainwater, we don’t have city water access) is full again and I can use the bathtub every day without a problem! Haha

There are new restriction rules here like our curfew from 10 pm to 5 am not being allowed to travel from one city to another during the weekends and 4 people can only hangout outside but so far, it still feels like “normal life”

We’re still going on short hikes/walks within our little village, the perks of living up in the hill even though we’re in the coastal town!

Jonathan has been busy with his new company (Montenegro Digital Nomad Agency) and harvesting some more veggies from his garden - tomato and the Asian squash (Kalabasa seed that I got from another Pinay here, thanks to Tin!) He also made his new “worm trap” so he can have better fertilizer for the next season.. excited to have more Asian veggies!!

I also went on a lovely lunch with Nadia and Tom last week and we tried a small restaurant that serves sushi and some Japanese food then I went out with my friend, Irena, for a local Montenegrin lunch! While Jonathan decided to bring the village kittens to the Vet and got them sterilized.. we’re hoping to do it with 10 other stray cats here!!

Most days, we’re just at home - working online, watching Black Sails series on Netflix, and hanging out with our 6 cats

How about you? Anyway, any tips on how to cook my newly delivered chayote / sayote aside from tinola?
