Kach Solo Travels in 2017: Enjoyed our 2 nights in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania
4 days ago we left Kenya to travel to Tanzania which is our next stop during this African adventure! ❤️ We missed our original flight because of the crazy traffic in Nairobi so we ended up booking a new flight which means we ended up arriving really late in Dar Es Salaam. We went there just to see the capital, buy some stuff, and just our hub to go to ZANZIBAR!
If you're a Filipino passport holder like me then you'll be able to get a visa-on-arrival at the airport and pay 50$ for a single entry visa (I also took a photo of how much they charge on visa fees), requirements? Passport and Yellow Fever Vaccine Certificate Card. From there, we took the taxi to our hotel - Protea Hotel Courtyard Dar Es Salaam.
The next day, we spent the day running errands - buying personal stuff and chilling at the hotel. We found out that Uber is widely used in the city so we didn't have to worry about haggling with taxi drivers! We met a reader too, Cyril, she arrived in Dar Es Salaam a month ago to start a new career. There's actually a lot of Filipinos working there! Ha :)
Anyway, we decided to buy our ferry ticket to Zanzibar and we were almost scammed by some touters there when we arrived at the ferry port.. ha! glad we didn’t have enough cash with us to pay the overprice and fake tickets! If you're heading there make sure to go to the big building. That's the legit one!
Enjoyed our 2 nights in Dar Es Salaam. It's just like a city in a province! Zanzibar is nicer and I'll post photos later ❤️
Positive vibes! ❤️
