Expat Life in Montenegro Day 428: Birthday Getaway in Montenegro ❤️

I think I’ve got almost everything that I wanted - my only birthday wish this year is for Jonathan to be back home to Montenegro. He made it happen and even surprised me with a beautiful rose quarts necklace! ❤️
I’ve traveled non-stop since I was 24 years old and I didn’t expect that staying in one place and having a routine in the last 4 months was really good for me - it was kinda stressful because of the house renovation but the last 2 months since I moved to our main house has been really peaceful. I still can’t believe we have our own house now!!😎
I still aim to travel to every country in the world but with this pandemic situation, our plan for now is to travel around Montenegro by car and motorbike! ❤️
Yesterday, Jonathan and I drove 2 hours away from our house to the mountains! We’re here at this town called Pluzine which is in Northwestern part of Montenegro and just by the border with Bosnia & Herzegovina.
It’s known for the gorgeous Lake Piva which is an artificial lake built in 1975. We went swimming and a boat ride to a small cave which was so much fun! The water was very cold but refreshing which is perfect for the summer weather. I hope we can go back here on winter when there’s snow for skiing! ❤️
We had lunch and dinner at this cool restaurant called Zvono and had fresh fish trout and steak for lunch while had the soup for dinner! Also, our first time to try a Honey Wine - it actually tasted like Cider! 😬
We also visited Piva Monastery that is considered to be one of the most important Orthodox monasteries in Montenegro.
Then we visited two different campsites called Ethno Selo Montenegro and Camp Vrbnica, both great locations and cool properties! Just getting ideas for our future projects! Haha ❤️
What a great overnight getaway and today we’re off sailing in Boka Bay!! We plan to go on more short trips somewhere every week since we couldn’t leave our cats at home for longer time! ❤️
