1. Pristina
The largest city and the capital of Kosovo where most Albanian are living. It is a town that is rich in history with almost 20 monuments, some mosques, and churches from Ottoman and Byzantine ages. 5. Gracanica Monastery
It was built in 1321 AD and is dedicated to the Holy Virgin Mary by the Serbian King Milutin. It is 5 kilometers from Pristina at the Gracanica village. It was constructed by following multiple tomb shapes and a Serbian structure. The design inside the monastery was decorated elegantly with an antique Byzantine culture. Because of the fire after a jubilee of the establishment, the original paintings and treasures were lost. Due to its architectural beauty and aesthetic paintings, it was listed in the heritage sites list in 2006. It attracts many tourists.

It can be called Peja in the local tongue. It has an area of 602 square meters and 95 villages. 10. Germia Park
The most arresting natural park in Pristina and is placed in the northeastern part of the capital of Kosovo. It has an area of 62 square kilometers and more than 60 species of animals and more than 600 floral species are residing here. The stunning pathway or also called the hiking trail of the park is surrounded by pine trees. It offers bicycle rent, rock-climbing wall, basketball ground, and playground along the trail. It was established in 1944 and has a shocking architecture because of small floating rectangles like a square-shaped tomb. After 70 years, it managed to collect more than a hundred thousand books. The total area is around 16, 500 square meters and has two reading chambers with 400 chairs.
12. Patriarchate of Pec
Mainly an ancient monastery from the 13th century in the order of Serbian Orthodox churches inside the city of Pec and is near the Rugova Mountains and Bistrica River. The Patriarchate of Peć controls the four different monasteries. There is also a collection of religious monuments inside. The great interests among tourists are the tall tower and the 750 years old tree that is inside the monastery. Patriarchate of Peć is also a part of UNESCO’s world heritage sites list.
13. Mirusha Waterfalls
It is a sequence of moderate waterfalls that form in the nearby 13 lakes in Mirusha Park. It is splendid to watch and nice to hear the waterfalls. A variety of canyons and caves are also part of the park. The walls of the waterfalls are white and made of stone in nearby high cliffs. About 72 feet in altitude is the highest waterfall inside the park. It is located in a mountainous range and it gives an opportunity to have a beautiful view of the lakes.
14. Sinan Pasha Mosque
A lovely mosque found in the city of Prizren and has a 17th century traditional Ottoman or Turkish rule in Kosovo design. It was built by Ottoman rulers to spread the Islam religion. Arabic verses from their holy book, Al-Quran are the paintings inside. The walls are also designed with Arabic letters and sentences. Due to rain, the inner chamber was damaged and it was plastered with lead plates later on. It has an area of 196 square meters and is in a rectangular shape.
15. Prizren Fortress
It was built around the 11th century and is also known as the Kalaja fortress. Byzantines are the ones who made the magnificent antique fort. The place is most likely a small city and is developed by the Byzantines while they used it as a center of governance. It went in the Ottoman hands after they rule and later on, it became a ruin of Kosovo’s independent war. It is now a great tourism site and one of the best places to visit in Kosovo.
