Beautiful BBQ Area Design Ideas with Tips for the Prep Station [Montenegro Stone House Renovation Vision Board]

Nothing is better than having a barbeque/bbq party at the comfort of your own home! Grilled all your favorite meats or even veggies, then invite your friends to come over. It doesn’t matter what the occasion is, hosting a bbq party is always a good idea.

However, if you don’t have a bbq area, then that would be a problem. Obviously, because you can’t grill inside your house, or else it will smell like smoked meat inside. For that reason, having a bbq area is a must. Remember that a delicious barbeque needs the perfect location. But that perfect location requires safety as well since we’re talking about barbeque, it involves “fire”. Mixing fire with hot foods, explosive fuels, and a group of people, especially if they have alcohol, then it could be dangerous.

So here, we’ll tell you some of the things that you should remember before you set up your own bbq area. First is the distance from your house. It is important to know that your bbq shouldn’t be too far or too near to your house. If it’s too near, then it might be dangerous especially if you have kids who love running around in your backyard or front yard. It is also not a good idea if it’s too far. Usually, most food preparation is done indoors. And if your bbq is too far from the prep station, then that delicious meat you’re grilling is at risk of burning. We don’t want that to happen. It is important to just keep a reasonable distance between the grill and your house.

The next thing you should consider is the wind. Observe where the wind usually blows before you set up your bbq. Directly inhaling the smoke we’re grilling is not safe for our health and it can cause many more problems. So remember to place your BBQ accordingly.

The last one is sunshine and shade. Typically, barbeque parties happen during the summer season, the season when the temperature gets higher than 30 degrees. However, no one wants to be exposed to a flaming hot grill while standing under the heat of the sun. So considering setting up your bbq in a shaded area is a must. Furthermore, shades from trees are the best ones as they ventilate quickly. However, if the tree’s branches hang lower than normal, then it might be dangerous they can start a fire.

Those are the things that you should consider before setting up a bbq area. If you have a garden or a backyard, then it is best to put up a shelter as well for your bbq as it can serve as a shade. Just remember to leave enough clearance between the structure and the grill.
