Life On The Road Day 26: Roadtrip from Frankfurt, Germany to Zagreb, Croatia with our 2 cats
The longest drive so far with our 2 cats which took us 10 hours of driving from Germany via the highways of Austria and Slovenia.. there’s also a passport control in Slovenia- Croatia since it’s not part of the Schengen zone (but Croatia is EU.. as PHL passport holder I need a visa to enter Croatia unless with a MULTIPLE entry Schengen visa which I have). They stamped my passport while they just looked at Jonathan’s British one! No questions asked about our cats.. gosh, our cats can travel more freely more than me! hahahah 😆😆😆
We had to do a lot of stops in between so Captain Ahab & Little Zissou could get out of their bag and run around the car. Thankfully a reader recommended the Feliway spray for us and it really helped us calm them down during the journey as we don’t want to give them medicine.
Our main destination for the week is Island Brac where we will stay in a lovely villa and go sailing.. it is a ferry ride from Split but it’s going to be a long drive so we cut the trip and stopped in ZAGREB. I’ve been to Croatia before but wasn’t able to explore the city.. Jonathan did on his third visit. We didn’t go around town last night and went straight to the apartment we rented!
Went out for a dinner date while the cats were running around the house and playing with their toys!! I don’t know how hard it is to travel with children but traveling with cats is very challenging!! Hahaha 😂😂
