Kach Solo Travels in 2019: Overnight Layover and Exploring Riga, Latvia

β€œHey Kach, how do you plan your route?” Been asked a lot of times so sharing you some tips!

If before, I’d go planning the route based on cheapest cost.. nowadays, I prefer it to be convenient and less hassle! So, when I found out that airBaltic has a direct overnight flight to Almaty, Kazakhstan for a cheap price so I immediately booked it since Dubrovnik airport is only 30 minutes away from our house then a quick flight to Riga, Latvia.

The only catch was I have to spend an overnight layover in Riga but I was actually excited to visit it again because when I visited in 2017 it was winter, really dark and cold! This stopover has been a delight for me and appreciated how cool Riga during summer.. I stayed at a private room of Mr. Hostel which is strategically located in the City Centre - 5 minute walk from the bus and train station and 15 minute drive to/from the airport! πŸ˜ The hostel has a full kitchen and living room area where I met a lot of fellow travelers at the hostel.. this is what I missed during my early days of backpacking.

Anyway, sharing some photos here from my stopover.. you should add Riga on your list when you visit Europe! πŸ‘Œ
