Life On The Road Day 682: Exploring the best wine-producing country, Moldova ❤️

Life outside Montenegro My brother and his wife are now in charge of our home and been looking after our cats.. so Jonathan and I can go back to work/travel again!

Hello guys, I kept forgetting to post here! Haha! Jonathan and I left last Thursday night to fly to Istanbul, Turkey where we stayed overnight then flew the next night to MOLDOVA!

Have you been to Moldova or have you heard anything about this tiny but one of the best wine-producing countries in the world?

As you know, I still aim to travel to every country in the world using my Philippines passport and I had to stop with my quest last year to settle down at home with our house renovation and because of what’s happening in the world due to C0v1d

Our income was totally affected esp. last year because as travel bloggers, we earn money from running trip marketing campaigns or website advertising... this year, we have to get back to work as our savings are depleting! Hahaha

Last Friday, we arrived in my country 144th!! Filipinos can get an e-visa or can enter visa-free with a valid Schengen visa. A negative PCR test is required to enter so you won’t need to quarantine. There are restrictions on who can travel to Moldova now but since we are on a business trip, we didn’t have any problem

On our first morning, we had a private city walking tour of Chisinau.. very clean! I’m so impressed! Very windy too and I wasn’t prepared

We practice precautions and our trip is privately arranged thru Winetours Moldova so the last few days - we visited 4 different wineries including Mileștii Mici and Epoca De Piatra. Aside from wine tasting, we stayed overnight at Asconi Winery then Chateau Vartely Winery

Aside from visiting some local villages, we also went to Orheiul Vechi, a beautiful spot with natural wonders.. let’s see if it will become UNESCO protected soon.

We have another winery to visit tomorrow and we have so many bottles of wine to bring home to Montenegro

We had a driver named Vitalii who is so hilarious but he doesn’t speak English so he talks to us via google translate. Haha! It was a fun 3 days arranged by WINEBUS.md - safe and reliable winery and airport transfers.

For now, we just arrived in Chisinau, taking a break from drinking and we’re about to meet my old friend who lives here now!
