Life On The Road Day 132: Now we’re in this beautiful town beside the Adriatic sea!

Hello from PIRAN, SLOVENIA! Now we’re in this beautiful town beside the Adriatic sea!!

If you guys remember, I was here last year in September and I kept telling Jonathan we should come back because he’d love it here and he’s never been to Slovenia.❤️

Piran and Portoroz is in the Istrian Peninsula along the Adriatic coast. He’s been to the Croatian Istria and it’s almost the same but with less people. Piran has an old town while Portoroz is great for shopping and nightlife! haha

This is the last stop of our London to Montenegro road trip because our cats have been waiting for us at home (and the housesitters are moving to Greece) and we need to return soon to them for me to start my therapy to walk again.

We’re so lucky to be hosted by Kempinski Hotels again and this time at the 5-star Kempinski Palace Portorož. We were surprised that they prepared one of their suites for our 3 day stay.. it’s around 605Euro per night but their normal rooms are luxurious too and a lot cheaper. Our room has 2 bathrooms and one with bathtub, a separate living room with dining table and massive tv aside from having three balconies overlooking the ocean.❤️💋

The best is their facilities - massive pool, Sauna, spa, restaurant and the valet parking! 😆 The hotel is wheelchair friendly so it’s easy for me to go from one place to another. We also had a welcome dinner with their fresh seafood dishes! It’s what Slovenian Istria is famous for as well as their Rose wine, Olive oil and other meat dishes.❤️

I think Jonathan is really enjoying this trip and it was a great decision of stopping on these cities / towns.

If you plan to do your European trip and planning to go to Italy? Go on a side-trip and visit SLOVENIA! It’s EU so they use Euro and it’s also Schengen so you don’t need another visa.
