Liveaboard Life Day 133: “Home sweet home”.. Back in Luperon, Dominican Republic ⛵️
After my unexpected solo sailing trip from Martinique to Antigua for 2 weeks.. I’m back “home” to our sailboat, s/v Empress! Feels incredible to be back sleeping on our own bed.. if before, Jonathan and I were just nomadic where we just moved from one place to another.. this sailing life is sooo much better for me esp that after each trip, I know that our Captain Ahab is waiting for me! 🐈
He’s jumping like a puppy when he saw me last night arriving to the boat and immediately kissed me (like 8 times).. Jonathan said he was already quiet and a little bit sad in the last few days and now he’s back to being a very hyper kitty cat! 😛
Back to our normal daily routine! Spent the morning cleaning the boat and preparing the laundry then went on a lunch date with Jonathan followed by ice cream at the park and then buying vegetables with the veggie truck guys + our bread! Now more appreciating what we have here since it’s really cheap for us to live here when I compare it to the cost of living in other Caribbean islands!
This weekend will just be catching up with a lot of work but more motivated to work harder (& smarter) to save more money to buy our next big boat (a multi-hull!) which I think Captain Ahab will enjoy!! ❤️
Positive vibes everyone and have a blessed weekend! ⛵️🙏😘🤗
