Sailing Life Day 320: 2 nights in Cayo Caracoles in La Parguera, Puerto Rico 🏝
They have free mooring balls which means we didn't have to drop the anchor! The small islet is just a mangrove spot for snorkeling so it's actually quite busy with tourists going on day trips! ⛵️
Jonathan and I went snorkeling on our first day with our sailing friends (Sailing Satori and Archipelago Sail) then by sunset we drove the dinghy to one of the 5 Bioluminescent bays in the world 😍 (3 of them in Puerto Rico and the other two are in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam and Jamaica) 🤗
This place has really beautiful clear water so on our second day, we woke up early because we have to clean the "bottom"
of our sailboat which was covered with growth (organic sealife that grows on the boat and it slows down our speed when sailing). We used to pay someone else to do it for us and it's the first time we did it ourselves! haha! Took us 4 hours of freediving up to 7 ft. deep to reach the bottom of our keel! The last time it was cleaned was a month ago in the Dominican Republic 😂
Mission almost accomplished.. we still need to do another round of scrubbing the surface on our next stop! 😂 Then, I spent my afternoon watching Netflix - Marie Kondo's Tidying up series.. and really need it to organize our clothes (not much) but just better to get organized 😂
Anyway, we're now off to our next stop - Gilligan's Island 🏝⛵️💋
